about

Motel Pools' architect and songwriter, Chiara Angelicola, releases a second volume of songs for her grimey horror picture show of sound. Abrasive and darling, earnest and playful, Angelicola delivers a body of work paying tribute to the good and the ugly of the music industry and past lovers. Produced by Angelicola herself, engineered by Vishal Nayak and Gabriel Galvin at Black Lodge in Brooklyn, mixed by Gabriel Galvin, and mastered by Mark Santangelo. Released on Suburban Rage Records 2016. Drums: David Scalia, Guitars: Kirk Schoenherr, Bass: Spencer Zahn, Vocals/Synths: Chiara Angelicola

lyrics

The highway melts beneath the sun, the skies are creepin
Suburban waterfalls, the cars are filled with sadness

Lemonade sorbet mouths are drippin with resentments

Surburbia, suburbia

I never wanted anything, anything, anything
I never wanted anything, anything, anything
Anything, anything, anything, anything, anything

Suburbia, suburbia...
